Homeopathic Seminar & Slum-Clinic Experience in Kolkata with the Banerjea's

In January 2024 and again in February 2025, I had the amazing opportunity to travel to Kolkata, India, with the Allen College of Homoeopathy (based in Essex). Both trips were eye-opening and deeply inspiring, and they’ve had a real impact on how I work as a homeopath.

Led by the brilliant Dr. Subrata Banerjea and his son Dr. Saptarshi Banerjea, we observed over 160 live clinical cases—many involving complex chronic conditions such as psoriasis, arthritis, cancer, kidney stones, pancreatitis, diabetes, gallstones, depression, anxiety, and more. We spent time in all kinds of settings, from busy city clinics to slum outreach clinics, where healthcare options can be really limited.

What really stood out was just how effective homeopathy can be, even in difficult circumstances. Watching the Banerjeas work was a masterclass in precision, compassion, and deep clinical knowledge.

These trips have really deepened my understanding of classical homeopathy and given me new tools and confidence to bring into my own practice. It was a truly enriching experience that reminded me why I love this work—and I’ve come back re-energised, with fresh insight and techniques that I’m already applying in my day-to-day practice.
